This painting is portraying the duality of the upper class, balanced by the struggles of the impoverished living in London

I tried to capture the traumatic despair of having a valuable yet matierial object ripped from the hand of the opulent woman. Whilst emphasising that fear and desperation, I find it necessary to note the contrasting deprivation of the unknowingly but equally desperate thief.
